Mount Family Christmas
FROM THROUGHOUT THE YEARS

Dear Friends and Family,

2023 - what a year! Having a two and three year old, with boy #3 on the way (due in Feb!), means that this has been a season of love, laughter...and constant mess. Food on the floor, toys everywhere, crayon on the walls- we are learning to let go of the need to control, and instead trying to be present with our children even in the midst of chaos!
As we near Christmas, this idea of “mess” has also stuck out to us in a new way. God could have entered the world any way He wanted, but instead, He chose to come into the midst of “mess”. He was born in a dirty stable, surrounded by animals, judgments and gossip. The mess didn’t scare Him away, cause him unrest or frustration. He cared more about being with us than He did about perfection and comfort.

So with that in mind, as we enter this Christmas season, may we all be ok with a little mess, and encounter, Emmanuel, God with us, in the midst of it!!!
